Fresh from the oven

Within the last month I've been asked by a few friends to make cakes for different occasions. Here are the last 2 I've done.
The first was for the dad of a friend, for his 50th birthday. She had placed an order from a shop in Belfast, went a few days before the party to check the order and they had no record of it. She asked me if i could do something for her so like a knight in shining armour i came to her rescue. After some deliberation we decided on a chelsea football club themed cake with a championship ball. Her dad was thrilled by it so cant ask for more than that.
The second was for the friend of a friend. It was quite a rushed cake as i had a 48 hour turn round for it. I asked my friend what he was interested in, she said fishing so after some researching we decided a trout would look well. This both excited me and terrified me at the same time because it would be a big challenge, especially because it would have to be painted. It came together well in the end, haven't heard how it went down yet. Fingers crossed it was okay!!
